St.Matthew's Parish Church, Lightcliffe is situated on Wakefield Road A649. Lightcliffe is an area on the outskirts of Halifax in West Yorkshire.

The Church is located about halfway along the section of the A649 which runs between the crossroads at Bailiff Bridge, (joining the Bradford Road A641) and the junction at Hipperholme, which joins the A58 and A644. Close by on the opposite side of the road, are Lightcliffe Cricket Club and St.Matthew's C.of E. School.
